What your studio sees
Everything a busy music teacher actually needs.
The handful of things I've seen actually shift how students practise. Deliberately kept to that, so there's nothing else cluttering up your view. The aim is intent in every session, not minutes on a clock.
Assignments
Set a task like “work on bars 12–24, 15 min/day” and pick which students it applies to. Their practice log auto-credits as they get the work done, so the thread of the lesson carries into the week.
Studio Materials
Share videos with your whole studio or just the students who need them. A technique demo, a listening example, a piece you want everyone to hear. It's waiting in their app between lessons, not lost in a group chat.
Practice reflections
After each session, students note how it felt and what they want to tackle next. You see the reflection alongside the session, so you know how the week actually went, not just how long it lasted.
Per-student heatmap
90-day calendar at a glance. Spot the student who was on fire and then dropped off, and the pattern behind the one who only ever practises the night before a lesson.
Milestone Moments
Students capture a short video whenever a tricky passage finally clicks. You see every one of those breakthroughs in their detail view, so the whole year's wins are there to look back on.
Weekly digest email
Every Sunday you get an email with the week's picture. Who's been practising, who hasn't, what they've been working on, and a couple of nudge links for anyone who needs a gentle poke. Means you don't have to log in just to know what's going on.
One invite code
One code covers your whole studio. Your students tap ‘I have a code’ during onboarding and their Mewstro unlocks. Apple handles the redemption bit behind the scenes, so none of them have to enter card details or anything like that.
Leaderboard, if you want it
Some studios love a bit of friendly consistency competition. Others never switch it on. It's entirely optional, and each student chooses whether they appear. When it's on, it celebrates showing up, and it never scolds anyone.

Why I built this
Started piano at 40. Built the app my teacher inspired.
I'm Mikey. I started piano just before my 40th birthday, second time really, the first try at school didn't stick. I built a spreadsheet to track my practice because I work in professional services and tracking time is muscle memory for me. My teacher Ellie saw it. That's pretty much how Mewstro began.

Your subscription is the only thing paying for this
There won't be banner ads, interstitials, or sponsored practice tips sneaking in. Teacher subscriptions and solo Premium are how I keep the lights on here.
Your student data isn't a product
I don't sell it, share it, or train any machine learning models on it. It stays with you and your studio.
Honest pricing, easy to cancel
Clear trial terms, a single reminder email before the first charge, and a one-click cancel from your billing portal whenever you want. If something changes on the pricing side, you'll hear about it from me before it hits your card.
One subscription, all your students
Every student in your studio gets full Mewstro, up to whatever tier cap you're on. There's nothing for students or their parents to pay on top of that.
If Mewstro ever has to shut down, you still have your data
If things go sideways and I have to close it all down, I'll ship a full CSV export tool first for everyone, free and paid users both, before anything goes offline. That's a hard commitment.
Ellie shapes what actually ships
Every teacher-facing feature has to pass the “would Ellie actually use this with her studio?” test before it goes out. This thing has been designed inside a working music studio, and that's not going to change.
